Who are the Top LinkedIn Voices in Hong Kong? As a Hong Kong based LinkedIn writer, I’m always looking for inspiration from people who are masters in this craft. Since Hong Kong is a small market, I haven’t found too many suggestions for Top Voices to follow, although I did find 2 articles to act as a starting point for my search.

Top Voices by Impressions
While both lists include powerful, influential, and famous people, they didn’t identify which ones were particularly active on LinkedIn. I wanted to know who was posting content regularly, engaging with followers, and driving discussions forward.
One metric for that is posts and impressions. Using ChatGPT* I estimated 6 month impressions as follows and discovered that the Top 10 LinkedIn Voices by Impressions were.
4,130,000 — Sonia Cheng, CEO, Rosewood Hotel Group
3,860,000 — Olivier Blum, CEO, Schneider Electric
2,648,000 — Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman, Schneider Electric
2,610,000 — Amy Lo, Chairman of Global Wealth, UBS
795,000 — David Gareth Thomas, GM & Head of HR, HSBC
717,000 — Arnold Chan, GM, Airwallex
710,000 — Deniz Güven 顧海, Board Member, Platform XIT
681,000 — Bill LU, Sr. Director of HR, Hilton
548,000 — Jeffrey Chih Yee Yap, MD, Hong Leong Bank Berhad
450,000 — Nicole Hui, Manger of Financial Services, Michael Page
I found it very encouraging that the Top Voices by Impressions was not entirely dominated CEOs, founders, and chairmen. This meant that indeed there were professionals who while not benefiting from that alpha-title were building strong voices through their content.
Looking at the type of content was also interesting. The majority of posts on LinkedIn are polished PR type posts. These are posts that include announcing new roles, major deals, important events, key meetings, company updates, and other marketing messages to the world. There are also posts, however, that are much more thought provoking, advice giving, information sharing, and sometimes even controversial takes on key topics. There is a bit of risk taking that makes these people more real and genuine. In this sense, I’d like to compliment Deniz Güven, Bill Lu, and Nicole Hui for taking those risks to drive discussions forward.
Impressions
As a new LinkedIn writer who has taken the platform very seriously for about a year, I have constantly been wondering whether I’m doing things correctly, and where I need to improve. Seeing these numbers for the first time compared to my own has been motivating and validating.
In the last 90 days, I have had 1,131,295 impressions. Over the past 6 months I’ve had 1,850,521 impressions. This would rank me #5 on the list above which feels unbelievable!
That said, the comparison may not be apples to apples. My content appeals to a global audience in Ecommerce Logistics, meaning most of my audience is outside of Hong Kong. It would not be fair to compare me to someone who’s audience is primarily Hong Kong. In the world of global Ecommerce Logistics, which is a multi-trillion dollar market, there are influential voices whose thoughts, analyses, and opinions, are reaching several 10’s of thousands of followers and really shaping the industry.
Calling for Peers & Mentees Hong Kong
For anyone who is based in Hong Kong, taking LinkedIn very seriously, and constantly trying new things and strategies, I am interested in creating a regular LinkedIn Masterminds group in Hong Kong to discuss strategies and best practices.
For those who are newer to the platform, but also want to take it seriously, I am considering taking on a few mentees for coaching. To be clear, I’m not qualified to be a career or life coach - I’m only talking about LinkedIn.
