LinkedIn Thought Leaders 2025
A list of who I follow from the lens of Ecommerce Logistics and why....
Who do I recommend following on LinkedIn? First of all, it’s important to follow relevant leaders in the industry to know what they are working on. Whether it’s successful entrepreneurs like Justus Klüver of NeX eCommerce, or corporate innovation leaders such as Thierry Golliard of Swiss Post, you want to stay updated on what these leaders and their companies are working on.
Aside from those types of individuals, however, there are also many thought leaders who are regularly sharing knowledge, insights, and sparking engaging conversations on the platform. Let’s highlight them.
The List (alphabetical order)
Aaron Rubin - CEO of ShipHero WMS provides daily insights on topics in eCommerce and fulfilment. Building in public with beverage in hand.
Anthony Miller - Thought leadership and insights on freight tech. Famously blocked by at least one executive founder that he often critiques.
Arinze Okonkwo - The Head of Customer Success at AfterShip is an amazing leader, teacher, and thought leader in the space of customer success. Everything I know about Customer Success I learned from Arinze.
Chris Lavoie - My counterpart at AfterShip is the Partnerships & Ecosystems guru and runs a group called Partnership Mastermind. Most of what I know about Tech/SaaS partnerships I learned from mimicking what he does and adopting that to the Logistics world.
Eytan Buchman - CMO of Freightos shares wonderful insight on freight, freight tech, and marketing from a global perspective — and with a lot of humor.
Grant Sernick - The smartest guy in the room. Grant takes the most complex ideas in freight, operations, and tech, and boils them down into the most articulate insights you’ll ever read.
Harley Finkelstein - The President of Shopify is also a highly engaging and prolific thought leader.
Hugo Pakula - The best source for US Customs updates especially when it comes tariffs and de minimis changes.
Jeremy Horowitz - The DTC topics king shares unique thoughts, stories, and insights daily from the ground. Runs a very creative newsletter fantasizing about buying public companies.
Jianggan Li - Original research and insights into the newest and biggest things happening in China and APAC, with a lot of eCommerce and a splash of logistics.
Joe Zhang - One of the most knowledgeable and experienced China eCommerce and cross border experts sharing what’s going on inside China to an English audience.
Josh Gardner - The American entrepreneur who knows more about China than I do. Josh shares trends in China’s domestic consumption, retail, and eCommerce.
Lars Jensen - My go to for ocean freight shipping news. He never forgets what day it is.
Malte Karstan - Retail and eCommerce news leader for Europe who thankfully shares in English.
The 4 Kings of US Parcel - Collectively these consultants are your #1 sources for understanding the US parcel market. John McClymont, Nate Skiver, Oscar Gladman, Timur Eligulashvili.
Who am I missing?
There are so many great voices on LinkedIn that it’s difficult to me to name everyone. Some great voices I considered, but left off as they were not frequently posting. Some voices while highly impactful in their work announcements, were more focused on company updates.
What I’d like to know from you is who have I missed? In writing this I realized there are not a lot of voices covering last mile parcel delivery in Europe or APAC regularly. There are also not many voices covering Asia retail outside of the big Ecomm giants. Lastly, I was very dissatisfied that I was not listing any women, so I would love to get some suggestions on what women thought leaders to follow.
Appreciate the shoutout @The eCommerce Logistician!
